About the event

Our first class sold out so quickly - so we've added a second class! This class is on 2/17!

Did you know that polenta, a cherished Italian dish, has roots dating back to ancient Roman times? Originally made with grains like farro and millet, it evolved into the comforting cornmeal dish we know today after the introduction of corn to Europe in the 16th century.

Polenta is most commonly enjoyed in northern Italy, especially in regions like Veneto, Lombardy, and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. This is largely due to the area's cooler climate, which is ideal for growing corn. Over centuries, polenta became a staple food for families, celebrated for its simplicity, versatility, and ability to pair beautifully with a variety of rich, flavorful sauces.

We’re thrilled to invite you to celebrate this culinary tradition at our upcoming cooking class at Bottega Bocconi!
